Fabian's Cannondale Topstone

Fabian recently raced this cool Cannondale Topstone in the Across Andes Bikepacking race in Chille, South America. The route crossed high altitude mountain passes on both tarmac and dirt roads, so the Topstone proved to be an excellent choice. The Topstone uses Cannondale's revolutionary kingpin suspension system based around a series of clever pivots and strategically laid carbon fiber. The end result is a suspension system that will take the edge off those dirt road corrugations yet still pedal efficiently on tarmac sections and long climbs.

Fabian's setup was super lightweight with all his extra kit and warm layer stored in an Apidura saddlebag, with the top tube bag providing space for the all-important snacks! Wheels were upgraded to Hunt Super Dura Dynamo Disc fitted with a set of WTB Riddler 37mm tyres. Again this wheel setup offered a perfect blend of speed on the road and grip and durability off-road.
