Introducing
Gapped Race Team

For 2024 we are proud to be supporting a brand new project: Gapped Race Team - the UK's first Muslim race team.

Gapped was originally formed in 2021 by Junaid Ibrahim as a platform for Muslim cyclists to share stories, charity projects and personal journeys. He wanted to provide a place to inspire and educate the community and increase participation in both competitive and leisure cycling.

Junaid is a British Cycling qualified coach and in 2023 he started running coaching sessions and organised monthly ride-outs. Looking ahead into 2024, the team will take their first steps into racing.

"When it came to selecting a wheel sponsor, our journey led us straight to HUNT. HUNT isn't just a UK-based brand; it embodies integrity, cutting-edge technology, and a visionary approach that perfectly aligns with our team's ethos. Nestled close to our base, HUNT boasts an impressive track record in major races worldwide, a testament to their unwavering commitment to excellence.

What sets HUNT apart is not just their triumphs in prestigious World Tour events, but also their prowess in long-distance challenges and beloved British hill climbs—an all-encompassing expertise that resonates deeply with our diverse roster of riders.

Our pride swells as our riders now proudly sport HUNT Wheels, standing alongside some of the globe's most exceptional athletes. The partnership isn't just about wheels; it's a synergy that propels our team toward greater heights, empowering our riders to push boundaries and chase victory with the support of HUNT's remarkable technology and unwavering dedication."
