BikeChannel Canyon taking on the Tour of Britain

UCI Continental team and Hunt supported, BikeChannel Canyon, will be taking on the pinnacle of British road racing starting this Sunday at the OVO Energy Tour of Britain.

Rolling out of Edinburgh, the team will be racing the eight stages as one of the twenty competing teams. Ranking above other high noting British based Continental outfits to gain a position on the start-line within the first year of operating is quite an achievement for the young team.

Hot off a recent stint of racing on the continent in Europe, the team is in top form form for their biggest tour yet. While lacking history, BikeChannel Canyon will be drawing upon a successful Tour of Yorkshire where team rider Dexter Gardias gained a second in the mountain classification as well as the combative jersey on the final stage. Turning to the Tour of Britain, Gardias noted that…

“Competition will be fierce… but I guess it is the same story for any of the (British Continental) teams… One of the stages comes pretty much past my house as well and comes through all my training roads, which will be cool.”
Dexter Gardias
