For riders looking for industry-leading crosswind stability, the 44_46 Aerodynamicist delivers. Benefitting from optimised front and rear-specific rim profiles, this wheelset delivers the lowest aero to weight in its depth category, while still weighing in under 1280 grams.

Tyre size: Aerodynamically optimised for 28-30mm tires. Wide, modern profile is ETRTO compliant with 25mm up to 50mm tyres.

The Purpose _

The Aerodynamicist Range has been re-engineered for pure speed, featuring updated front and rear aerodynamic rim profiles developed in-house through extensive CFD testing and wind tunnel validation. Designed for riders chasing every watt, the wider front wheel profile maximises aero efficiency, paired with a narrower but deeper rear wheel profile, optimising system aero efficiency and stability in real-world conditions while minimizing weight.

UD Carbon spokes slice through the wind, while ensuring reliability and easy maintenance. The precision-engineered H_Ratchet 40T DBL hub delivers crisp 9-degree engagement with less material weight. Enduro ™ Bearings ABEC 5 chromium steel bearings keep you rolling faster for longer.

No Compromise Rim Profiles

Wind tunnel tests prove these are the fastest wheels in their category. The 44.5m front and 46mm rear depths, shaped through CFD analysis, cut through air while maintaining control. Wide external dimensions (31mm front, 30mm rear) improve aerodynamics without adding weight. The 22mm internal hooked rim works with all tubeless and clincher tyres from 25-50mm.

Reliable, Rapid H_Ratchet Hub System

H_Ratchet 40T DBL, is a dual-sided ratchet system with 40-tooth drive rings offers rapid and reliable 9-degree engagement for quick response to pedal inputs. 6066 aluminium alloy hub shell with extra strong 7075-T6 alloy axle and freehub body for durability. H_Ceramik reinforced coating to protect against gouging.

Low Friction, High Durability Bearings

High performance chromium steel Enduro™ ABEC 5 Bearings are specifically designed for cycling applications to provide excellent longevity and low rolling resistance, no matter the weather.

Responsive UD Carbon Spokes

Boasting a 6% increase in lateral responsiveness compared to steel spoke counterparts, with significantly less weight. High-frequency vibration absorption properties of carbon fibre in the UD spokes further benefit riders seeking a responsive ride with less distraction.

TECHNOLOGY _

The HUNT 44_46 Aerodynamicist UD Carbon Spoke Disc wheels beat the competition in wind tunnel tests, cutting air resistance by 1.41 watts compared to the ENVE Foundation 45, which weighs 239g more (18.7% heavier). The new front wheel profile has less drag at high yaw by creating a sailing effect and managing airflow more efficiently. For long rides, these wheels offer best-in-class stability in all wind conditions, giving you predictable handling and greater confidence. They also cut drag by 1.73 watts compared to the previous 44 Aerodynamicist model.

A wider 22mm internal rim creates an ideal shape with 28mm tyres, improving both aerodynamics and comfort while making cornering more stable. Despite being deeper than the previous model, these wheels weigh an impressive 1274 grams, thanks to advanced carbon fibre layup techniques.

Taking the learnings from our Limitless Speed Project but utilizing traditional manufacturing methods, the Aerodynamicist rim profiles deliver optimum aerodynamic benefit from wide rim profiles. The wide and far more 'blunted' spoke bed area, allows wind to flow in a more predictable pattern once separating from the rim providing a smooth and aerodynamically efficient package.

Reliable, Quick Engagement

The H_Ratchet freehub system offers smooth, quick, reliable 9˚ engagement with dual-sided ratchet rings for easy servicing. Designed for durability, the reinforced H_Ceramik coating protects against cassette damage, while the forged and CNC’d alloy body and 7075-T6 aluminium axle provide increased stiffness and strength.

UD Carbon Spokes

Weighing just 2.7 grams each, UD Carbon Spokes can handle tightening forces of ~450kgf, allowing us to increase lateral responsiveness while significantly reducing weight across the wheelset. The high-frequency vibration absorption properties of carbon fiber further benefit ride feel by reducing road chatter. TaperLock technology allows for truing and adjustment.

Reliable, Low-Friction Enduro™ Bearings

Super smooth precision Enduro™ ABEC 5 stainless steel cartridge bearings. Enduro™ ABEC 5 bearings are designed specifically for bicycle applications as they offer the deepest grooves and largest balls possible in every size to increase bearing strength and durability.

All-Road Ready Resistance

Hunt road wheels all pass UCI impact testing standards. HUNT Wheels' road wheels must also undergo significantly elevated impact testing using a sharpened anvil and higher impact energies to better replicate pothole strikes compared to the flat UCI impact test pad.
