UD Carbon Spokes

TaperLock UD carbon spokes offer up to a 30% increase in lateral responsiveness against steel equivalents. Only 2.7g per spoke and yet can handle tightening forces of ~450kgf per spoke.

SLC Hubs

HUNT Sprint SLC hubs add strength and enhance power transfer, meaning more of your power pushing you forwards. The hub shell is a cold-forged 7000 series alloy, offering a greater strength-to-weight ratio than extruded 6000 series alloys.

Wind Tunnel Tested

Developed by HUNT's in-house engineering team, with years in the wind tunnel spent testing every last detail. We've left no stone unturned in designing this wheelset from the ground up to be very fastest in the world within its class.

TECHNOLOGY _

We've wind tunnel tested our 48 and 60 Limitless UD Carbon Spoke Disc wheelsets against our original steel spoke version, as well as their relevant competitive set. Compared to their steel spoke counterparts, both the 48 and 60 Limitless UD Carbon Spoke Disc wheelsets perform very similarly (within the margin of error for standardized wind tunnel testing), suggesting there is no material aerodynamic penalty associated with the bladed UD Carbon Spokes. To review all the wind tunnel data, we welcome riders to review the provided graphs below.

UD Carbon Spokes | 6% more laterally responsive than identical steel spoked wheels, with significantly less weight. Further benefiting from the high-frequency vibration absorption capabilities of carbon fibre in the UD spokes, as well as the rim.

HUNT recommends a 25-28mm tyre for best performance, tyre widths between 25mm and 47mm are also safe to use.  Note: best performance is usually gained by using tyre pressures lower than the maximum, you can see our blog post about this, read here. Tubeless-ready for lower weight and rolling resistance. You must not exceed the maximum tyre pressure limits set out in the table below or the maximum limit set by your tyre manufacturer if this is lower.

Patented Limitless Technology

In order to create the most aerodynamic & stable shape for the tyre, a rim bed of 21mm is needed. With the tyre profile this creates, the ideal shape of the rim curves out to an external width of 34mm. To overcome the weight penalty associated with this, we use a (non-structural) low density expanding polymer insert, inside a channel carved out during the production process.

Patented Limitless Technology

This is bonded to the carbon during the curing process, resulting in a uniform and strong bond. The density of carbon is 1.6g per cubic centimetre, whereas the polymer insert weighs just 0.7g per cubic centimetre, resulting in a (rotational) mass loss of just over 50g per rim. This patented technology enables us to consider the limits of material properties, and smash right past them.

UD Carbon Spokes

TaperLock UD carbon spokes offer up to a 30% increase in lateral responsiveness compared to steel equivalents. Only 2.7g per spoke and yet can handle tightening forces of ~450kgf per spoke. Owing to the TaperLock technology, these spokes can be trued using a spoke key from inside the rim bed.

Our 48 Limitless road rims are optimised for a 28mm Schwalbe Pro One. Patented LIMITLESS technology allows for a 22.5mm rim bed and a huge 34.5mm external rim width, meaning the rim sits far wider than the tyre for aerodynamic efficiency.
